Congratulations! You are expecting a precious little baby! 

There are a number of tasks involved with prepping for a baby, don’t forget to prep your home plumbing as well.

Below are a few things we may forget to do: 

1. Water Leak Inspection –  Not all water leaks are in the form of visible puddles of water, sometimes a water leak can be determined by an increase in your water bill or discolouration on the walls or floors. Checking for water leaks are important because not only can it be costly to fix, but moisture causes mold!! Babies have a weaker immune system than adults, being exposed to mold can get a child sick very easily.
   
2. Prevent Frozen Pipes – Your need for water increases greatly when you have a new baby, you need a constant supply of water for proper washing, cleaning, bathing, etc. Having frozen pipes is a serious problem, especially in the winter months. Ensure that your water pipes are properly insulated to prevent them from freezing.
   
3. Plumbing Inspection – It is in your best interest to book a full plumbing inspection on your home before your new baby arrives to ensure everything is running smoothly and fix whatever is needed.
